USCIS Provides Registration Updates for FY 2024 H1B Cap

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services announced today the fiscal year 2024 H-1B cap initial registration will open starting March  1, 2023 at 12pm EST and end March 17, 2023 at 12pm EST. Registrations will be accepted from prospective petitioners and representatives during this time through the online H-1B cap registration system. A confirmation number will be given upon submission of registration however, it cannot be used to track Case Status online.

Employers:

Prospective H-1B Cap petitioners and representatives are required to use the myUSCIS online account system to register each beneficiary for the selection process. The registration fee is $10 per registration. Unlike prospective petitioners submitting registrations for the very first time are required to create a “registrant” accountbeginning February 21 at noon EST. Employers that have submitted electronic cap registrations in past years are not required to create a new “registrant” account. There is no limit in the number of electronic cap regisrations.

Important  details to consider:

• If enough registrations are received by March 17, random selection will begin. Notifications will be sent via myUSCIS online accounts.
• If not enough registrations are received, all registrations that were appropriately submitted in initial period will be selected.
• USCIS will attempt to notify account holders by March 31.
• U.S Department of Treasury has a daily credit card transaction limit of $39,999 per day for the FY 2024 H-1 cap season.
