Thriving on Uncertainty: Kirti Kalra in Immigration

Kirti Kalra is a Partner and Attorney in our firm’s Santa Clara office.

Kirti Kalra’s favorite part of his job is that there is never a dull moment. He is constantly managing his team’s and clients’ communication, even when he is outside of the office.  However, every time he walks into the office and his team approaches him for advice in the morning, he still gets the same butterflies and nervousness that he felt on his first day of work. Says Kirti, “You just never know what you are going to have to deal with every day.  The daily uncertainty keeps things exciting.”

Excited by Problem-Solving

Says Kirti, “As an attorney, clients generally make you feel important.  The more you connect with them, the more they want to connect with you.” After building that type of engagement, clients start to ask Kirti to solve their problems, rather than regurgitate legalese. This is Kirti’s favorite part of his job, and what he affectionately calls “the fun part.”

As an attorney, Kirti excels at being a friend who doubles as a problem solver. He encounters a new problem every day, so he never knows what the next issue will be.  “The uncertainty of it all is very exciting to me,” says Kirti.
