Benjamin Fortuna’s journey into immigration law began unexpectedly. Several years ago, when his siblings planned a trip back to their homeland in the Philippines, he decided to apply for a B2 visitor’s visa on his own. Without informing his family, Benjamin successfully obtained the visa and joined them on their return to the United States—a move that sparked his curiosity and passion for immigration law.
As a Senior Immigration Paralegal, Benjamin finds many aspects of his role both challenging and rewarding. One of the most fulfilling parts of his job is assisting individuals in navigating the often-complex U.S. immigration process. "Helping people through their immigration journey, which can be overwhelming and complicated, is something I find very rewarding," he says.
For Benjamin, the personal connection he forms with clients is just as meaningful as the legal work itself. He particularly enjoys interacting with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and learning about their unique stories. "Communicating with clients from different cultures is one of my favorite aspects of the job. Their journeys not only enrich my understanding of immigration but also broaden my perspective on the world," he shares.
Benjamin's dedication to helping others, combined with his passion for cross-cultural engagement, makes him an invaluable asset to the team. His personal and professional experiences continue to shape his work, and his commitment to assisting clients in their immigration journey remains at the core of what he does.
