May 2025 Visa Bulletin

By: Jioselin Juarez-Contreras and Brian Meza

On a monthly basis, the United States Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs issues out a bulletin on the availability of immigrant numbers for “Final Action Dates” and “Dates for Filing Applications” to indicate when applicants should be notified to assemble and submit required documentation to the National Visa Center (NVC). If you are waiting for an immigrant visa, this bulletin helps determine when you can proceed with your application based on your priority date (the date your petition was filed).

For May 2025, United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has confirmed the following:

  • Family-Sponsored Filings Applicants: All applicants must use the "Dates for Filing" chart in the Department of State Visa Bulletin for May 2025.
