January 2025 Visa Bulletin

Introduction

The U.S. Department of State has released the January 2025 Visa Bulletin. There is little movement in the final action dates for the EB-2 and EB-3 visa categories.

USCIS has confirmed they will honor the Dates for Filing chart for both family-sponsored and employment-based Adjustment of Status filings in January 2025.

The Dates for Filing remain unchanged from the December 2024 Visa Bulletin.

Dates of Filing for Employment-Based Preference Cases

EB-1:

• India: April 15, 2022
• China: January 1, 2023
• All other countries: Current

EB-2:

• India: January 1, 2013
• China: October 1, 2020
• All other countries: August 1, 2023

EB-3 (Professionals and Skilled Workers): 

• India: June 8, 2013
• China: November 15, 2020
• All other countries: March 1, 2023

EB-5 Unreserved (C5, T5, I5, and R5):

• India: April 1, 2022
• China: October 1, 2016
• All other countries: Current    

EB-5 Set-Asides (Rural, High Unemployment, Infrastructure):

• Current for all countries

The Final Action Date saw very little forward movement for EB-2 and EB-3 visa dates especially for India and China.

• India: February 1, 2022
• China: November 8, 2022
• All other countries: Current             

EB-2:

• India: October 1, 2012
• China: April 22, 2020
• All other countries: April 1, 2023

EB-3 (Professionals and Skilled Workers):

• China: June 1, 2020
• All other countries: December 1, 2022

EB-5 Unreserved (C5, T5, I5, and R5):

• India: January 1, 2022
• China: July 15, 2016
• All other countries: Current
