President Joe Biden signed the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act into law on June 17, which establishes June 19 as a federal holiday. Most federal offices, including immigration agencies, will be closed on Friday, June 18 in observance of Juneteenth as the holiday falls on a Saturday this year. Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States.
Federal agencies will resume normal operating hours on Monday, June 21.
