Shafiqa Kureshi is an Attorney at the Los Angeles Chugh, LLP office.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to law school, Shafiqa worked in an Insurance Real Estate Law firm as a Claims Assistant working to settle insurance claims before it went to litigation. She then went on to receive her Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco, School of Law. As a law student, Shafiqa worked for two summers here at Chugh, LLP as an intern in which she gained a significant amount of experience in the immigration department. In addition, she completed an internship with Los Angeles Unified School Department assisting with their facility legal department. Shafiqa was also granted the privileged opportunity to be a part of University of San Francisco’s Child Advocacy Clinic, which allowed her to gain hands on experience in representing children and parents in Dependency court. Shafiqa has also completed an internship as the law clerk for Honorable Harry M. Dorfman in the San Francisco Superior Court. Through this experience she not only gained hands on experience with a Judge, but ample experience in writing and understanding of how the courthouse is run. After law school, Shafiqa served as an Attorney for the Juvenile Dependency Counsel of Alameda where she worked on a wide variety of dependency cases.
